Reason Adds Plugin Support For AVID Pro Tools DAW
Reason works inside Pro Tools as AAX plugin
Reason Studio’s developers are fast moving to cover all common usage domains. In the middle of last year Reason 11 version arrived, which finally brought the presence of a plugin version but only for the VST environment.
After the announcement at the end of last year of the AU version, which extended Reason’s capabilities to Logic Pro users and other DAWs that only natively support that format, it is the turn of Pro Tools. The plugin version in AAX format will allow users of the AVID DAW to integrate Reason much more naturally into their Pro Tools projects.
All these are now possible with the release of Reason 11.3 new update. The other new features of this version focus on error correction, but the depth of that extension towards Pro Tools is enough to bring the news to the front page. Of course, the update is free for users of versions 11.x and will allow them to use both the VST and AU and AAX versions.
Without a doubt, a conventional plugin format is much more friendly and simpler to use than going through the hassles of ‘rewire’ and the like to synchronize separate environments like Reason and Pro Tools were until this version. Let’s see what Reason will bring for us in the future. Do you have any suggestions?
